Meet the Characters

Mia

Mia is actually a perfectly ordinary girl. But with her mysterious book and magical bracelet, she can travel to the fantastic world of Centopia, a realm filled with elves, Pans, and unicorns. There, she transforms into an elf with a very special ability: she is the only one who can understand the language of the unicorns! Together with her elf friends Yuko and Mo, she experiences exciting adventures as they work to protect the unicorns of this magical world.

Yuko

The elf Yuko also lives in Centopia and is close friends with Prince Mo and Mia. Yuko is confident, courageous, and one of the finest warriors of the Unicorn Guard. She fears no danger, although her bravery can sometimes make her a little reckless. Yuko has a simple motto: A day without laughter (and shooting water blasts) is a day wasted!

Mo

Prince Mo is the son of King Raynor and Queen Mayla. Even though he is still a young elf, as the king’s son he carries great responsibility, which he takes very seriously—sometimes even a little too seriously. Unlike Yuko, who can sometimes be overly reckless, Mo strives to play by the rules. Mo wants to become just as good and wise a ruler as his father one day, even though right now he would much rather go on one adventure after another. He is always there for his friends Mia and Yuko, because nothing can separate them. They are a team!

Phuddle

Pans are small and shy creatures. They are only rarely seen, but their beautiful music can be heard everywhere in Centopia. Only one Pan turned out a little different: Phuddle! Phuddle is a very poor flute player and was therefore excluded from the society of the Pans. Phuddle talks a lot and considers himself a great inventor. Unfortunately, his inventions never work exactly the way he imagined them would. And yet, they still turn out to be useful in completely unexpected ways again and again.

Onchao

Onchao is one of Mia’s best friends and an essential member of the team of heroes. With his wings, he can create whirlwinds, with his hooves he can trigger small earthquakes, and with his golden horn he can heal wounds and make plants grow. He always keeps a watchful eye on his friends. With his magical powers, he protects the other unicorns of Centopia.

Kyara

Kyara is Onchao’s little sister. She also has wings and a golden horn, with which she can make dead plants—and even the most barren soil in Centopia—bloom again. Kyara attends the unicorn kindergarten with her friends, but she most enjoys playing and running across the meadows of the Elven Crater with her big brother.

Lyria & Ono

Lyria and Ono are the parents of Onchao and Kyara. For a long time, Ono was trapped in ice, but he was eventually freed and has now returned as the leader of the Fernleaf herd. Lyria was the first unicorn Mia ever met in Centopia. Since then, the two have shared a special bond.

Element Unicorns

The elemental unicorns are very shy, but in times of need they always stand by their friends, each empowered by the force of an element. The Earth Unicorn can create mountains by stamping its hooves, trigger earthquakes, and dig deep tunnels. The Water Unicorn is half unicorn, half fish. In the Birth Grotto, it guards the Birth Shell of the unicorns. The Fire Unicorn lives deep inside the volcano. With its horn, it can create a ring of flames. It guards the fire flowers. One petal is enough to keep the elves warm for many hours. The Wind Unicorn rules over the skies of Centopia and floats on a whirlwind. It can make clouds appear out of nowhere or summon storms.

Special Unicorns

The special unicorns are Ono’s close friends. The Ice Unicorn lives on an island at North Horn. It is so cold there that its tears instantly freeze into crystals. The Star Unicorn can usually be found above the Field of Grumpy Cacti. Its coat looks like a beautiful starry sky. If you dance with it among the stars, it may grant you a wish. The Crystal Unicorn lives hidden in a cave behind a sparkling labyrinth. It can grow crystals, and even its body is made of pure crystal that glows in the dark. When you look into them, the crystals show your deepest wishes. The Stone Unicorn can create small earthquakes, cause cracks in the ground, and even merge with stone and pass through it.

Garnivera & Flair

Garnivera and her daughter Flair live on Rainbow Island, the only place in all of Centopia where unicorns can speak! Garnivera loves to spend time at the Rainbow Spring, listening to the gentle splashing of the water. Flair’s beautiful mane looks like a rainbow and flutters in the wind when she frolics around. She can create shimmering soap bubbles by dipping her horn into the water of the small ponds on Rainbow Island. Flair and Onchao understood each other from the very first moment they met and became friends.

Zealanders

Sea Landers are a tough and wild bunch, which is due to the harsh land they come from. Since they have no wings, they are used to long journeys and do not give up easily. Riok is strong and can hold his own in battle, even though he has no wings. Duna is a shaggy unicorn and, for Riok, what Onchao is to Mia: his loyal companion. Shaggies are a bit more stubborn than their relatives on the mainland, but Duna uses this strong-willed nature to her advantage: she may not be the fastest and cannot fly, but when something needs to be done, Duna gets it done. Jojo is a shaggy foal and, like the older Duna, has a strong personality. However, Jojo tends more toward adventures and questionable life choices, such as his friendship with Gargona. Ena is a young Sea Land elf with the sweetest smile and a very strong bond with Mo. As she cannot yet walk and also suffers from separation anxiety, Mo has to carry her around quite often.

The Baddies

The two villains Gargona and Dax are working on behalf of Lord Drakon, the leader of the Dark Elves. They are supposed to bring him a unicorn’s golden horn. The two of them argue all the time, which is why the elves have always been able to outsmart and drive them away so far. However, Gargona keeps ending up on the main island. If she finally brings Lord Drakon a golden horn, she will be allowed to return to Dystopia, the realm of the Dark Elves. Dax is the leader of the Hopper army. The small spy bugs also report to him everything they observe in Centopia.
